TUESDAY SENSORY DAY

11:00 – 11:30 | Baby Sensory Class with Coach Frances – £5

11:30 – 12:30 | Sensory Room Open Play – £5

Both Sessions: £8.50

Baby Sensory Class – Gentle, Playful & Baby-Led

Our Baby Sensory Class with Coach Frances is a calm, welcoming session designed to support bonding, exploration, and early development through sound, sight, and touch.

This relaxed class is suitable for babies from birth to early walkers and is completely baby-led. There is no pressure to follow instructions or keep up—your baby can watch, rest, feed, or explore at their own pace.

Each session includes a variety of gentle sensory experiences such as lights, music, textures, and props designed to encourage curiosity and early development, while supporting special bonding time between parent and baby.

Held in our lovely heated studio, this is also a great opportunity to meet other parents and make new friends. Our café upstairs is available if you’d like to grab a coffee before or after the session.

What to expect:

  • A calm, relaxed, baby-led environment

  • Gentle sensory play using lights, sounds, and textures

  • Freedom to explore at your own pace

  • A friendly, supportive space for parents and carers

  • Time to bond, relax, and connect with others

Sensory Room Open Play

Our Sensory Room Open Play session is a fun and interactive environment designed for babies and young children to explore through hands, feet, eyes, and ears.

The room is regularly refreshed every few weeks by Pods Products, a local Newhaven-based company, bringing exciting new themed experiences. One week you might be immersed in a jungle with lights and animal sounds, the next you could be travelling through space in a rocket, or exploring an underwater world filled with fish and octopus.

We also feature specialist textured floor mats designed to stimulate sensory development through touch, including patterns such as pebbles, grass, hedgehogs, and more.

This is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore freely, engage their senses, and enjoy a rich, imaginative play environment.

Soft Play and Sensory Room Rules

Rules of Play

By entering our centre, you agree to follow all Rules of Play. If these rules are not followed, you may be asked to leave the centre without a refund. We reserve the right to update or amend these rules at any time without prior notice.

Supervision & Responsibility

Parents or guardians must be over 18 years of age and are responsible for actively supervising their children at all times while using the facility. It is the responsibility of the accompanying adult to explain the rules of play to children and ensure they are followed.

Although staff are present to monitor equipment and provide first aid if required, they are not responsible for supervising children. Parents and guardians must ensure children behave safely and appropriately at all times.

Clothing & Safety

Children must be appropriately dressed for physical activity. We recommend that jewellery, watches, buckles, and any sharp objects are removed before use. Clothing should be secure and tucked in where necessary.

All children and adults must wear socks on the equipment and remove outdoor shoes before entering the play areas.

Health & Behaviour

Children who are unwell must not be brought into the centre. If anyone becomes unwell during their visit, they must leave immediately to help prevent the spread of infection.

Any unsafe, violent, or inappropriate behaviour must be reported to a member of staff immediately.

Equipment Use

All equipment is available for use except the main trampoline, which is strictly out of bounds.

We encourage parents and guardians to take part and play with their children where it is safe to do so. Adults must take reasonable care to avoid injury to themselves, others, or damage to equipment.

Food, Drink & Smoking

No food or drink is permitted in the gym area unless purchased from the café upstairs (with the exception of baby food and feeding essentials). Food and drink must only be consumed in designated areas. Chewing gum is strictly forbidden.

Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes are not permitted anywhere on the premises.

Personal Belongings

We accept no responsibility for loss or theft of personal belongings. All valuables, money, and personal items remain the responsibility of the accompanying adult.
